David Walliams lost his contract with book publisher.
Acclaimed children's author and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.
A spokesman for the company commented: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was made after an investigation into claims about conduct deemed unsuitable towards women.
The company has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, noting: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."
A Highly Successful Publishing History
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.
His bibliography includes more than 40 books combined, including a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins this past October.
From Screen to Page
His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE several years ago honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
